As I grew up, my family and I moved several times. The moves came at 2, 6, 12, and 15. And then I headed to boarding school. Junior year of high school I was in my fifth school in six years.
Some would hate this, and there were points I was miserable. However, I came to really appreciate and enjoy the opportunity to do a reboot each time we moved. What worked? Keep it. What didn’t, ditch it. In many ways each move provided an amazing opportunity for positive growth.
Smaller reboots in other areas of life can feel amazing in their own right. Whether that’s the proverbial spring cleaning, hitting inbox zero, or joining a new organization where no one knows you. Perhaps on the more mundane end of these reboots, but it feels good to have updated this site. Same bat URL, same bat quotes, same bat me. Hopefully I did a good job of keeping the best parts, and ditching the worst.
More thoughts to come (slowly) as the reboot continues to kick in.
